O-22: Derivation of Insulin Producing Cell from Mesenchymal Stem Cells Using Lentiviruses Harboring pdx1

Type1 diabetes is generally caused by insulin deficiency because of destruction of islet beta cells and differentiated mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be therapeutic source for the cure of type 1 diabetes. The aim of current experiment is to explore the possibility of derivation of insulin producing cells from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in vitro by overexpression of pdx1 transcription factor.
